Economical, clean hotel for overnight stay. Avid hotels don't have bells and whistles but always clean with friendliest personal. Snack choices available, seemed to be something for most. Their coffee bars are great!
The employees here are A+. I was always greeted with a smile when they passed by. The hotel was immaculately clean and bright. The bed, pillows, and sheets were so comfortable, and breakfast was tasty and well stocked! The holiday decorations and music were a nice touch, too!
My husband and I travel a lot and I rarely leave a review. This is our first time staying in an Avid and I must say, we’re both very impressed. James, the manager has one of the best personalities I’ve ever come across when it comes to a hotel manager. Checking in with him was pleasant and speedy. The following morning, he made sure to engage everyone with his happiness. Breakfast was tastier than most complimentary places.. Now to the cleanliness. The entire hotel is super clean . From the windows to the floors I couldn’t find a finger print or a clump of dirt/ dust. I Clorox wipe everything in every hotel room and this is the first time my Clorox wipe was just as clean going in the trash as it was pulling it out of the container. I never walk around my room floor with bare feet but with the cleanliness of everything else here. I felt a trip to the bathroom would be safe. Needless to say, my feet were even clean when getting back in the bed. The only downfall here is, it doesn’t have a pool but with the cleanliness, I can over look it and put this place on the list of “I’ll be back!”
A short drive off the highway and we were greeted by staff that were friendler and more helpful than seems possible after midnight. Nice rooms and great gym. Even the free breakfast was well above average. This was worth the extra drive past Birmingham.
This hotel is a high quality hotel with very clean rooms, professional staff and great service. They offer good quality continental breakfast and comfortable beds. It is a gem. Thank you all and keep up the good work. I'm sure I will stay here again.
Booked 2 king rooms through booking.com for $109 ea. Free WiFi, Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Efficient checkin/out. Quiet and safe. Breakfast ok, but limited - choices consisting of buffet style cereal or yogurt, apple or banana, muffin or bagel, coffee and HOT :-) water for tea (very limited selection) I chose peppermint tea and blueberry muffin (to go). Close to I-20 to get back on the road. Overall it was a great experience for the price and met our needs. Would stay again.
The room was modern and spacious. Everything looked clean and fresh. The location was great regarding my destination while in Tuscaloosa. Yolanda, the front desk clerk was kind, helpful and funny. I also appreciated the night desk clerk for helping me with adjusting the thermostat and batteries for the television remote. I enjoyed the breakfast as well. My overall stay was very good.
This was a stop on our way to my father-in-laws funeral and everyone was extremely nice. This was my first time staying with this brand. We will be back!
